We will be preparing for the May 11 Court of Honor and wrapping up advancement work before the Court of Honor.

The PLC will hold it’s May meeting this coming Monday prior to the regular Troop meeting. The following Scouts should plan to attend:

– Warren Dunes Camping Information
We have about 18 people signed up for the Dunes weekend. Here are the details:
- Meet at St. Juliana at 5:00 on Sunday. We will return on Sunday morning by 11:00.
- Pack: rain gear, Scout shirt and neckerchief, layers of clothing – nights will be cold, personal water bottle, and money for Friday dinner – including your Culver’s gift card.
– May 11 – Spring Court of Honor – Invest in Character Presentation – Owasippe Fees Due
The May 11 Troop meeting is our Spring Court of Honor. The Scouts will be acknowledged for rank advancement and will receive the merit badges they have earned since last fall. It is important to the Scouts that they have at least one family member present to celebrate their accomplishments. Please plan to attend!
Also, that night there will be a presentation from the Pathway to Adventure Council about making a contribution to Scouting in the Chicago area.
May 11 is also the date that final payments are due for Owasippe. The Troop must make its final payment by May 15th in order to avoid late fees. We will send out instructions about making the payment through GiveCentral next week.
– How to Use GiveCentral
We have partnered with the St. Juliana Parish GiveCentral service to accept online payments. Go to the Troop GiveCentral web page at: www.givecentral.org/scouts965 or use the QR Code.
You do not need a GiveCentral account to use this service. Simply fill in the primary information, scroll down to check the box for “Boy Scout Camping”. Then enter the number of members you are paying for. You can pay for one or more members. The total cost will then be calculated. Scroll down to enter your payment information – either Credit Card or Bank Account. Select the “Preview Total” button and follow directions to complete your payment.
You can setup a GiveCentral account by saving your profile and creating a username and password.
If you already have a GiveCentral account, click the link above the Primary Information section to login to your account. Your information will be auto filled on the page.
– Sag Valley Hike Rescheduled – Saturday, May 16
Join us for the Sag Valley hike in the Cook County Forest Preserves on Saturday, May 16. The permission slip is in the Resource Center and is due at the May 11 Troop meeting. There is no charge for this outing.
