– WELCOME to Our New Scouts!
Seven of the Arrow of Light Scouts who crossed over joined us for a meeting about getting started in Troop 965. They received a brief orientation to the Troop and written materials about how the Troop operates.
We hope you will come to a few Troop meetings to learn more about the Troop. If you want to see one of the best parts of Scouts, plan to join us for the May 1-3 camping weekend at Warren Dunes.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the successful Arrow of Light Crossover Ceremony and Summer Camp meeting. I’m grateful for everyone who pitched in to keep things moving on a very busy night. Special thanks to Mr. Mark Simpson for supervising the Crossover set up and taken down and to Mr. Art Mandelin for leading the summer camp planning meeting.
The thirteen Scouts going to Owasippe this summer received information about merit badges and other camp activities.
We will start preparing for the Warren Dunes camping weekend at the upcoming Troop meeting (April 20). Permission slips can be found in the Resource Center. The cost for the weekend is $45.00 and is due with the permission slip. We encourage you to use GiveCentral to make your payment.

– Warren Dunes Camp-Out – May 1-3 – Sign-Up by April 20
The Dunes is our favorite weekend camping location. The giant sand dunes on the shore of Lake Michigan are a great place to climb and explore. Permission slips and payments are due at the April 20 Troop meeting. We encourage you to use GiveCentral for your payment (more information about GiveCentral below).
We will start working on patrol menus and gear at the April 20 Troop meeting. Parents are welcome to join us for all or part of the weekend.
– How to Pay Through GiveCentral
We have partnered with the St. Juliana Parish GiveCentral service to accept online payments. Go to the Troop GiveCentral web page at: www.givecentral.org/scouts965 or use the QR Code.
You do not need a GiveCentral account to use this service. Simply fill in the primary information, scroll down to check the box for “Boy Scout Camping”. Then enter the number of members you are paying for. You can pay for one or more members. The total cost will then be calculated. Scroll down to enter your payment information – either Credit Card or Bank Account. Select the “Preview Total” button and follow directions to complete your payment.
You can setup a GiveCentral account by saving your profile and creating a username and password.
If you already have a GiveCentral account, click the link above the Primary Information section to login to your account. Your information will be auto filled on the page.
